Power Apps in Microsoft 365 Copilot
Bringing business data into the conversation, and AI into the flow of work. I guided the team designing how Power Apps and Microsoft 365 Copilot work together.

People need to move from a question to the right business data, without repeatedly switching between an app and an AI conversation.
Led the design team from early concepts through public preview, aligning interaction patterns with product and engineering leadership.
Power Apps content inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Copilot agents inside business apps. One connected experience across both surfaces.
Follow a client-prioritization scenario with the Analyst agent, directly inside Power Apps.
Ask the Analyst agent to identify high-value clients. The conversation stays alongside the business app, with the records still in view.
A prioritized customer list brings the recommendations together. People can see which clients to focus on and the reasoning behind each suggestion.
Bring the recommended records into a chart and a table. The answer becomes an interactive view people can explore inside their app.
My role was to guide the team’s design direction, review the work at each milestone, and connect decisions across product and engineering.
I guided the team in defining patterns for data grids, charts and custom tools rendered inline in a conversation. The design needed to support interaction with business data directly inside Microsoft 365 Copilot.
The experience also brings Researcher and Analyst into Power Apps. From analyzing a client to creating a pitch deck, the agent can work with the business record someone already has open.
I partnered with PM and engineering to align this new surface with Power Platform’s design language, and coached designers as they explored a conversational workspace. Reviews connected early concepts to the experience delivered in public preview.
The work brought Power Apps into a new conversational surface, while bringing Microsoft 365 Copilot agents directly into business apps.
Power Apps experiences began appearing inside Microsoft 365 Copilot conversations.
General availability brought the experience into the apps people use for their business processes.
The MCP-powered approach connects to a broader ecosystem, alongside Dynamics 365 and Microsoft partner apps.
